Jetwave Volvo Penta Repower
Jetwave Quayside operates across Exmouth, Fremantle, Dampier, and Port Hedland, offering full marine lifting and service facilities.
Their Exmouth boat lifting facility is the only one of its kind between Geraldton and Darwin, supporting commercial, charter, and recreational vessels throughout Western Australia’s northwest.
When Jetwave needed to repower one of their vessels, CPG supplied and commissioned two Volvo Penta D16 engines, replacing the existing MAN engines at their Exmouth site. Jeff Napier, General Manager of Jetwave Quayside explains:
“The two Volvo Penta D16 engines we are using are actually 250 horsepower each less than the previous MAN engines yet they fitted straight in, and the fuel saving is very significant with only a one-knot speed loss. It’s a bit of a shift for the company using Volvo Penta and, it looks like we’ll continue to use them.”
“The service has been great! CPG have been instrumental in working out what engine is required, what vessel power, through to working out how they’ll be compatible with the jet units. They do all the commissioning on new repowers plus organise and are essential in holding parts for us.”
“CPG offer a real personal service, which is hard to find. That’s a real winner for us.” As a Distributing Dealer for Volvo Penta, CPG provides expert commissioning, responsive aftersales support, and access to a strong nationwide Dealer Network, giving customers confidence and peace of mind, wherever their journey takes them.
